Tampa Bay · frequency is about volume
NFPA 96 hood cleaning schedule
NFPA 96 is the standard most fire inspectors and insurers point to for commercial cooking exhaust. It sets cleaning frequency by how much grease the operation produces, not by a slogan on a website. Request a clean when you are due, behind, or looking at a finding. This page does not inspect you.
What the schedule actually hinges on
High-volume and solid-fuel cooking is typically on a monthly interval in the standard. Ordinary restaurants are often quarterly. Lower-volume operations can be longer. Your inspector or insurer may be stricter than the minimum.
We are not going to certify which bucket your line is in from a form. Write what you cook and how many shifts. The cleaner who accepts the lead can talk interval after they see the hood.
A finding is a different request than a route stop
If a fire inspector wrote you up, put the due date in the form. That is a catch-up. If you want to start a recurring stop, say that too. Those are not the same lead.
This site does not keep you on a route. A provider might, after they meet you.
Typical cost — not a bid
A routine clean on a normal Tampa Bay canopy is often $250–$600. Monthly high-volume or neglected systems cost more per visit, and the first catch-up after a missed year can look like a small project.
Certificates, if a cleaner issues them, are part of their paperwork — not something this website stamps.
What we will not claim
We do not sell “NFPA certified” as a brand we hold. The standard exists. The person who cleans should tell you how they document the work. You can decline if that answer is thin.
